Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes: Learn how to read, write, and basic math skills at your own level.
High School Equivalency/GED classes: For those who are at a specific reading level and want to refresh their academic skills.
Morning and evening classes are available to fit your schedule. Most classes meet three days per week.
Classes are held on the main campus in Normal, Illinois. As well as, in Pontiac and Lincoln, Illinois.
There is no cost to you. Classes are paid by state and federal grants.
Once you enroll, you'll get a Heartland student ID. With that ID, you can ride Connect Transit buses for free.
You may call the Child Development Lab on Heartland's campus to learn more about your childcare options. Their number is (309) 268-8210.
Before you can start class, you'll need to take a reading and math assessment so we know which class is best for you. Once we know your level and give you an orientation to our program, you'll be ready to begin classes.
