Nominations open for Distinguished Alumni AwardMarch 9, 2016
Heartland Community College is proud of its graduates and their accomplishments.
The HCC Alumni Association is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumni award. The award recognizes HCC alumni who demonstrate exceptional achievement in their profession and make a positive impact on their community.
"Our first Distinguished Alumni Award recipient was Chad Pregracke. He was named CNN’s Hero of the year in 2013 for his work in cleaning up rivers,” said Director of Alumni Relations and Donor Engagement, Colleen Reynolds. “We know there are other alumni who are making a difference in their community.”
Last year’s award winner was a nominee for Illinois Teacher of the Year, Normal Community West High School Teacher John Bierbaum. He’s also an active member of the McLean County Diversity Project.
Reynolds is encouraging employers, co-workers, family members, friends and professors to consider taking a few minutes to nominate an alum who deserves to be honored.
Anyone is eligible to nominate alum including employers, co-workers, family members, friends and professors.
